Audi S8 Detail

This Audi S8 detail I did this particular day was a treat for me. I have always loved the Audi line up and here today we have the high performance version of the Audi A8 detail. These come with a V-10 and plenty of horsepower and torque. Let's have a look at some of the features as I take you along this car detailing photo shoot.

This Audi S8 detail has some really great lines to it. To me, when I see any of the Audi's, I think sporty and "clean". And when I say clean, I don't mean the traditional use of the word as in not dirty. What I mean is the cleanliness of their styling and the lines of the body. Audi doesn't complicate and over do in their styling; they use clean lines that communicate a sense of safety, sportiness, and sophistication. It is as if Audi is advertising to a select, or elite crowd. Not for everyone, just those that can appreciate what Audi is offering and can afford the cost of entry.

Check out the front end of this Audi S8 and tell me that doesn't look aggressive and a bit intimidating. It resembles some kind of daunting sort of machinery you would find in some industrial sort of application with all the grating of the grill, the various lights, and the different smaller grills.

Something this customer chose to do was have the designating bright work taken off from the rear end so as to do a little less advertising of the nature of this car. From behind, all you now see is the four silver hoops of the Audi logo; you have to look more closely now to determine that this is in fact an S8.

If you look at the previous shots of the side and the front, the V-10 and S emblems still remain, to reveal the wolf that is indeed lying beneath the skin of this German metal.

Speaking of which, why don't we go under hood and have a peek at the marvelous engineering that has gone into the engine.

The engine on this Audi S8 detail is amazing; the emblem at the front of the engine also tells you right off, what you are beholding. It is a "clean" design with good symmetry and aesthetics built into it. This is where all the glorious horsepower and torque originate from; and let me tell you, it has plenty of both. My customer let me take this around the area for my own test drive and what a rush! Talk about feeling like you are king of the road with such power, refinement and prestige! You feel like you are completely encased in the perfect blend of safety and power. Not to mention such a visual appealing piece of machinery. Let's go inside of this Audi A8 detail for a look there.

For this Audi S8 detail, I will start with a full shot of the dash and highlight the features of this car detail. As with all the sport models of Audi, you have your chose of shifting modes as well as shifting mechanics. You can shift at the gate with the center shifter, or you can shift with the paddle shifters that reside just behind the three and nine o'clock steering wheel spokes. Look closely and you can see the tops of them. There is a healthy use of fine wood veneer that compliments the "unique" accent color of the leather. I say unique, because I am guessing that this color is one of those love/hate situations; you either love it, or hate it; a truly subjective call. I really love it along with this particular color of wood.

Here is a shot of the Audi S8 detail door panel as you can see the nice blending and use of materials. Audi has long been at the top when it comes to quality of materials and their fit and finish. Germans definitely know how to pick out quality materials, and it shows. When compared to some of the other auto makers, the level of quality and materials really shows through when making a direct comparison. This Audi has ample use of suede which has grown in popularity over the past few years. The entire headliner has been adorned in suede. I will finish this auto detailing tour with a close up of the wheels.

Here is a look at one of the Audi S8 detail wheels close up. I love the stock silver finished wheels, that when cleaned all the way through, really set them apart. There is nothing quite like coming up to a car and being able to look deep within the wheel and see that all is clean and perfect. It adds such depth to the wheels themselves,because now you can really see just how wide these massive wheels are.

I have loved the Audi line up for a very long time; ever since I can remember I have loved doing car detailing on these cars. In this is example, I think it is clear to see the draw towards this German auto makers unique blend and styling of materials and engineering.

I have generally used other mobile detail services in the past and continue to do so for what I call a normal detail job. But I met Daren through Exclusive Motors as we share the same building. My wife uses the Suburban to run our 3 kids around and it gets very dirty in the process.
