Car Paint Detailing

Car paint detailing seems to be the first area of importance when it comes to people that care about their cars. Typically there are but a few main areas of concern:ferrari fender

  • You want your cars paint protected
  • You want it to look fabulous
  • You probably would like both of those

I don't know about you, but I find the entire area of car paint detailing, paint correction, paint protection, maintenance, etc., etc., an area of much confusion and frustration!

Like most subjects in this world, there are just too many voices...all claiming to be the one to listen to. I am no different in this area, as I claim to be the car detailing expert. I have even gone so far as to create another site that teaches people first hand the insiders view of:bmw m3 fender

  • Tips and tricks of professional auto detailing
  • Actual products I use to produce superior results
  • Time saving techniques of car detailing

All of which I will be bringing to people first hand at Best Auto Detailing Tips.com.

Some Common Paint Problems

There are a few problems when it comes to car paint detailing that you must deal with as an owner, and I get to deal with as a professional:

These are just a few problems faced by today's car owner and the professional detailers out there. As a car owner you may just want to know what the best car wax is for protection, or what is the real deal behind teflon car wax.

Let Me Confuse You

See how many of these statements you have heard:
  • Never use a high speed buffer on a cars paint
  • Only apply polish and car wax by hand
  • Natural car waxes, sealants, and polishes are the best
  • Synthetic car waxes, sealants, and polishes are the best and last the longest
See how quickly I can complicate things; there are contradictions everywhere in the world of cosmetic car care and car paint detailing.

The world of auto detailing and car care has gotten so confusing for two major reasons:
  • The manufacturers of car care products themselves
  • Bad information being repeated ignorantly
First, the car care manufacturers of detailing products has not only led us to believe that we need a hundred different products just to take care of our cars, but they continue to develop and market an ever increasing line up of new products that only further the problem.

Secondly, we need to un-learn most of what we know. So much bad information floats around out there, that we need to un-learn all the bad information before anything else.

I'm an Expert and I get Confused!

Well I used to be...now I just have to laugh when I walk down one of the car care isles at the store, and see all the many different products that people like yourself get to pick and choose from.

Car Paint Detailing and the Real Deal

Let me clear up a few things for you:
  • Never use a high speed buffer on your car- sure, if you want poor results, polishing marks left by the uneven pressure of your hand, and you just plain don't know what you are doing. When I hear anyone say to never use a high speed buffer on a car's paint I know one of two things: they are either just ignorant, or they lack the ability to use one properly so they claim expertise by saying how they do everything by hand.
  • Natural waxes, polishes and sealers are the best- I find it interesting that most companies make a combination of both types of products; synthetic and natural. It use to be that companies would take sides and claim superior position based on what they were "pushing" at the time.
Now companies blend both natural and synthetic to make truly superior products for all of us. You can still find a few over priced companies out there that still want to wrap their natural products in marketing, that romanticizes the old school days when life was easier and simpler, and we did everything by hand with only natural products: but those days are gone thanks to innovations in chemistry and technology.

A Couple Things to Remember

  • You really can get everything in one wax product
  • Most wax products are combination of synthetic and natural ingredients
  • High speed buffers should be left to professionals with experience
  • The human hand will never be able to duplicate the results of buffers
  • Always verify your source of information

So when you are ready for some true car paint detailing perfection, contact me and we can talk about the kind of condition your car's paint is in, what you would like the finished product to look like, and how much this will cost.
