Lexus ES350 Car Detail

Auto Fetish Detail

The Lexus has become synonymous with quality and value. Anyone close to Duke knows about his Toyota truck that is over ten years old and is in immaculate condition, so Duke is no stranger to shopping value. Choosing the right products for the right job is an important part of the preservation process when it comes to maintaining the beauty and value of your car.

Duke and his wife went with one of the easiest color schemes for ease of ongoing maintenance; light exterior, and darker interior. With the exception being the light colored leather upholstery; more on that further down. Silver is one of my favorites when it comes to paint color.

Overview

Because of the light colored paint, care and maintenance will not only be greatly reduced, but we have a much greater diversity in selection with car care products; light colored cars are naturally more forgiving over their dark counterparts.
Duke, like anyone else, needs care and maintenance based on the following:

• Paint protection based on light colored paint.
• Paint enhancement based on color of car.
• Car leather care and maintenance.
• Car interior care based on color of interior.

Paint Care

Generally, people with light colored cars tend to want to wax their car less, rather than more. So as a professional, I recommend going with a 100% synthetic polymer sealant/wax product as an initial place to start. After each wash if they have the energy, they can follow up with an easy to use spray wax that will extend the life of the polymer base, and add visual enhancement.

Interior

The two main concerns for Duke's Lexus is proper care and maintenance of the cars leather interior, and the fact that the leather is so light. The light colored leather will require more vigilant and consistent maintenance to keep it looking like new.The dark carpeting and floor mats hide dirt well, but superficial dirt like lint and loose debris will show up more easily. Of course this loose dirt and debris is just a quick vacuum away from being cleaned.

Wheels

Modern day wheels finished in the OE silver finish are easy to clean and maintain. The smooth silver and clear coated finish is resistant to brake dust and harmful chemicals. Simple cleaners used with some form of manual agitation of a soft brush, is all that is required to keep wheels lasting a life time. These wheel have multiple spokes and some tight areas that can be accessed during cleaning with something as simple as a tooth brush.
