Mercedes AMG SL55 DetailThis Mercedes AMG SL55 detail is one of my favorite cars on my schedule of maintenance detailing. This particular car gets the Auto Fetish treatment every other week.I love the Mercedes Benz line and have certainly been a fan of the SL sports car for some time now. Back in the day, like as in the 80's, the SL was considered more of a "chick" car. Meaning, girls only... ... of course you saw the occasional "guy" tooling around town in one, but his sexual orientation was always questioned if he did. I guess once again, stereotypes are based on reality. Now when it comes to the AMG enhancements on any of the Mercedes line up, I am all for it. Such is the case with this tricked out SL 55.
Not only is this Mercedes AMG sl55 detail, one incredible ride, but it is done in black. Once again, black makes a statement folks. The kind of statement that advertises confidence and assurance. And check out the "bling" on the wheels. Nothing sets a car apart like some fat, chrome wheels like these Foose wheels. Let me take you around and show the highlights of this awesome ride.
Above is a close up of the wheel that also has been retouched on my computer to add some drama to an already dramatic looking wheel.
Since these wheels are so cool looking and since this is a Mercedes AMG SL55 detail, I want to show you the massive front brake enhancements. Look at the huge cross drilled and vented rotors that spin between the massive four piston calipers. If you look closely, you can see my detail van in the reflection of the center cap. Lets have a look under the hood and see where the colossal amounts of horsepower and torque are created.
Within this Mercedes AMG SL55 car detail is housed a very nice engine. I personally would have stayed away from the texture that was molded into the top of the center intake area, as well as broken up the use of the satin silver color/finish. But it is still a cool looking engine that looks like it means business. It is tight and neat in design with not much room to spare in this engine compartment. Lets go into the interior and check out the amazing use of materials and the quality of the fit and finish that Mercedes puts into their cars. Look at all the different elements at play here in the cock pit area of this Mercedes AMG SL55 detail. When you slide behind the wheel of this fine machine, you truly feel like you are sliding into the cock pit of a jet fighter. One of my favorite features of this particular interior is the perfect blend of leather and Alcantara. Notice the steering wheel as it has been engineered with both materials. This steering wheel is the most ergonomically friendly steering wheel I have ever had the pleasure of having my hands around. You can also notice the Alcantara that is used along the inside of the A pillars, as well as the entire headliner. Here we are at the passenger side to show in this Mercedes AMG SL55 car detail of the door panels, and in the case of this particular shot, you can see all the clean going on within the door jamb hardware. Like I say, I love clean; extreme clean! Take note of the use of carbon fiber along the door panel itself. the next shot will also show the center console where you can see how the engineers at Mercedes made stylish and elegant use of more carbon fiber treatments. Pretty cool huh? I think so. I love the interior in this Mercedes AMG SL55 car detail, and the color scheme that matches the black paint outside so well. Did you see something out of place in this last shot? Look closely...there is a small ring at the bottom left of the shifter boot. My customer had lost this and I was able to retrieve from underneath the seat. I left it there for her and forgot to remove for the picture; Details... Speaking of this Mercedes AMG SL55 detail... It is in the above shot that we see the kinds of "details" that are used on a car like this...these kinds of details don't come cheap... the difference is always about the details.
