Mercedes C230 DetailToday I bring you the Mercedes C230 detail that also happens to be my wife's new car; read as used. It is a 2007 with 24,000 miles on it.
It also happens to be my wife's car. She really wants the new C-class, but that will have to wait. In the meantime, she gets to drive around in this sporty little Mercedes C230 that has lots of curb appeal. It is the sport model with all its accompanying enhancements that are most visible in the body enhancements. We had he windows tinted at Xlnt Tint in Anaheim. We both like the look tinted windows can add to the visual appeal of the car. I spent some time on this car in the past couple of weeks, getting it ready to shoot and post on the website. Since the car belongs to my wife, I had the luxury of doing it in stages; perfection is relative and subjective. I will show you my level of perfection in car detailing, as I highlight my wife's car and the detail job I did on it.
This light gray interior is both a pleasure and a curse. I prefer the light gray over the black as it shows the nuances of interior details better than the black. But it also makes auto detailing and upkeep more difficult. Pretty amazing how well it cleans up after a couple of years and 24,000 miles.
Even though the C-class is at the bottom of the Mercedes line up, they still do a great job with interior enhancements like the wood trim. You can also see into part of the door jamb in the above shot to see that I didn't leave any area undone.
Notice just how perfect the door sills are in both of the above shots? I don't like scuffs being left behind if I have any say so. Not all cars are built with quality materials that allow me as a car detailer, to be able to remove the black scuffs that build up over time. The threshold plates and the lower door panels are the areas that accumulate these foot scuffs as people enter and exit.
I will complete the interior tour of this Mercedes C230 detail with this shot of the rear. Now we can have a look at the exterior to complete this example of car detailing perfection.
Here is a shot of the passenger rocker panel of this Mercedes C230 detail, so you can see the wheel well lips and full length of the meticulously detailed rocker panel area.
Now look within this shot of the wheel to see the level of perfection that is taken within the depth of the wheels. I love OEM silver wheels that have been detailed to this level of clean. This is one of those areas that you can do to your car, that will definitely set it apart from the "herd".
Notice the absence of ANY dirt or brake dust on these wheels. This is not always possible to get this kind of clean; if brake dust is allowed to build up and remain for too long, damage can be permanent. To prepare for this photo shoot, I did take the detail job to the next level on this Mercedes C230 car detail by removing the wheels.

My wife calls me the zealot auto detailer, and it didn't help when she came out and saw the job I was doing on the wheels of this Mercedes C230 detail. But sometimes this is what it takes.
